What: It's summertime in the UK and Michelle stops by a beach

It was one of the calmer days at the beach. Michelle had specifically gone on a weekday, in the middle of a busy work week, for this reason. She put on her mint-colored bikini and a white cover-up before heading down to the sand from the little inn she was renting from. Her beach bag had contained a towel to lay on, her sunglasses, her sandals, and her books. After she'd laid out her beach towel, she laid on her stomach and opened her book. She let the silence fill her, hearing the sea breeze in her ears.

It was a wonderful break from the past year at home.

"Well yeah, that sucks." Audrey squinted up at her friend. "Although I don't quite have to go from every day, you animal." She grinned teasingly. "Still though. Plenty of willing, able men. That bathe regularly and speak legibly and aren't the scum of the earth." After a pause, she inquired, "We're at the point where I can say these things without you being mad or sad, right?"

Michelle laughed, smoke coming from her mouth at Audrey's quips. "Yes, you're more than welcome to say those things. Just as long as I can make fun of Ronan's poetry." It was such bullshit. Michelle only went with them to the poetry clubs to wear her red beret. She needed it wear it more often.
